Ever since I started studying at TAMIU, majoring in Spanish opened a lot of new doors for me. Especially, when it came to learning and expanding my knowledge within the Spanish literature. For instance, some great writers I loved reading was Gabriel García Márquez and Julio Cortázar. As well as, the way my professors taught their classes gave me a deep insight about concepts and ideas regarding literature. Overall, I enjoy reading Spanish literature because I get to learn about the language itself and the cultural too.
