Work History
911 Call-taker EMD/EFD, Fire Equipment Dispatcher, Primary Training Dispatcher
Hill AFB Fire Department
02.2017 - Current
I strive to be a leader within the work center, I have trained many new employees to whom can contribute to a great team. I am always on time with answering calls. I strive to be accurate when processing calls and dispatching.
I have used both old and new electronic processes in my years with the USAF Fire & Emergency Services and I am always willing to learn new techniques. I have proven to be very reliable when the systems don't work and I am able to go back to what I know and I always try to do a great job getting crews to the scene within a timely manner.
I pride myself in being a team player and always attempt to put what is at the best interest of the Dispatch center and those I work closely with at the forefront of decisions needing to be made.
I have proven to be a reliable Dispatcher; keeping in mind that I never ask others to do what I am not willing to do myself or have done myself. (Covering open shifts and unscheduled sick calls.)
As an active member of the Hill FES Dispatch team I directly support the agency’s mission and accreditation status by actively working towards excellence as defined in the CPSE (Center for Public Safety Excellence).
I am a go-to for many and a POC in the ECC for the ACES-FD program. I am capable of identifying multiple issues within the system and either fixing the issue or assisting the user in fixing the issue themselves.

Senior Training Dispatcher
Vandenberg AFB Fire Department
01.2005 - 02.2017
I provided emergency 911 call taking and dispatch services. I determine the nature of the emergency in accordance with established EMD, EFD and Air Force guidelines. I dispatch the appropriate agency and services to be rendered based upon the information gathered from the call received and the correct checklist utilized in the call center. I maintain as a constant liaison with the emergency responders to include, fire officials, fire stations, police, medical. and any other unit control centers involved with the emergency until official termination of an incident is determined by the Incident Commander. During multiple emergencies, I am able to use independent judgement to determine which calls need immediate attention or when different equipment is required due to responses in progress. I monitor various emergency radios, including police, fire, medical. and mutual aid channels and provide information to senior fire officials as any situation requires. I transmit and/or relay all requests for mutual aid responses through other Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) via our ringdowns and direct lines. I transfer callers to the proper agency as required and dispatch a variety of emergency responders including police, fire, wildland, rescue, confined space, swift water rescue, aircraft, hazmat, medicals, vehicle, space missile launches and USAR responses.
EMD trained with a current CPR certification which allows me to use judgment when initiating an immediate and appropriate level of medical advise and response required for any medical call received. In addition to medical calls I am also proficient in utilizing the QRC checklists in Dispatch for any Launch or Mission Operation scheduled by Base Commanders and Officials.
