  • Serve the doctors, nurses, and other assistance by keeping the daily and monthly schedule current, while communicating any changes. Pitch in and help with check-ins and vitals when Nurses are busy.
  • Gather and assemble the patient’s information via chart or fax prior to the start of the clinic visit each day. Send out call reminders to the patient one day prior to visit. Check to make sure the precerts and insurance information are updated prior to appointment.
  • Make changes to the clinic schedule and reschedule patients as required by modifications in hospital coverage schedule. Answer multi-line phones transfer calls to the correct contact and take messages as appropriate. Assist patients with obtaining appointments, clinic and provider information and reschedule as required. Keep in contact with the medical providers on all missed appointment and any other needs of the patient while in clinic.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure that all the needs are met. Order all medical equipment and front desk supplies for the department. Check monthly that there are no expired supplies and complete the monthly audits. On the DTU billing team which make sure that there are no billing issues regarding medication and if there are any, we try to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
