Through my high school career and early years of college I have learned what real hard work entails. Working three different jobs at the same time in high school is a hard task to maintain, but through hard work and good time management skills. I always have a craving for more.
At Dee Marias, I was a delivery driver for 6 months. Here, I learned how to control high pressure situations, and learned how to keep my composure dealing with frustrated people. During my time at Dee Marias I was able to gain confidence in handling money in high stress situations. I had to ensure the correct order was delivered to the customer while doing so in short periods of time. I also became more confident in the use of online payments via credit card, debit card, or paypal.
Over the last two years, I have been tasked with doing such things as awarding people with memberships, thoroughly cleaning, and have continued to better my public speaking skill here at Body Bank Fitness. When working the front desk, I learned how to better my communication skills whether it be through answering calls or having to deal with frustrated clients. I leaned the proper way to greet customers upon arrival and provide assistance with check-in or check-out procedures.
During the period in which I was working on the farm, I would be asked to complete multiple laboring tasks around the Apple Orchard. Whatever I had been asked by my supervisors to complete, I will complete. These tasks consist of field work, bar backing at the cider bar, and help park cars. I learned what real physical hard work consists of while my time spent at the orchard.
