I wear a few different hats including as a meteorologist in the communication industry and as a consulting meteorologist.
I'm an articulate communicator who frequently boils down complex information into easy to understand storylines for television and the internet. Wildfire season is now year-round in Colorado, so I routinely produce and present wildfire forecasts highlighting wind, temps, and humidity. For example, I built custom graphics and forecasted conditions on-air and online during the Cameron Peak wildfire (2020), East Troublesome (2020), High Park (2012), and Marshall wildfire (2021). Routinely analyze snowpack depth and water content to predict wildfire risk, recreation, and water supply.
I also own my own business, Tomer Weather Solutions LLC, where I consult with mountaineers and skiers in the most extreme environments around the world providing custom weather forecasts. My chief job is identifying the weather risks and then mitigation.
