Job overview

  • In 2000, I was assigned to the Baltimore Field Division, Hyattsville Field Office, I was responsible for a variety of investigations involving firearms, narcotics trafficking and illegal firearms possession;
  • I successfully generated informants and worked on numerous armed narcotics trafficking investigations in and around Prince George's County
  • I worked numerous 'felon in possession of a firearm' investigations in support of Project EXILE- an ATF/United States Attorney's Office partnership program dedicated to taking armed violent criminals off the streets
  • In or about 2002, I applied for, and passed the firearms, physical qualifications, and interview phase to become an ATF Crisis Negotiator
  • After receiving applicable training for this assignment, I was assigned to ATF's Special Response Team to work local and nationwide callouts and high-risk operations
  • In or about 2006, I was assigned as the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Baltimore Field Division where I advanced ATF's hard work and successful operations in the spotlight of the local and national media, while also meeting and advising local and DC Congressional members and staffers of ATF's accomplishments
  • In or about 2011, I was assigned to the Hyattsville I Field Office after my assignment as Public Information Officer
  • During that time, I worked several investigations regarding FFL burglaries, firearms, narcotics trafficking, and those cases involving witness intimidation in the Prince George's County and Charles County areas
  • From 2015 to 2019, I was assigned to Baltimore Group 1 (Arson and Explosives) and worked as the case agent on several arson investigations
  • I also worked alongside Certified Fire Investigators (CFIs) and Certified Explosives Specialists (CESs) with case follow-up, scene analysis and processing
  • I utilized numerous investigative techniques such as surveillance, interviews, application for and review of telephone records, and cellular data in furtherance of these investigations
  • These investigations have included commercial fires, fatal fires (homicides and accidental deaths), National Response Team callouts and explosives callouts
  • While I was assigned to this group, I served as the Primary Evidence Custodian, where I was tasked to ensure that all evidence was appropriately packaged, handled, and stored; and successfully accounted for all property items during annual audits
  • In 2017, I was trained to be one of Baltimore Field Division's Mobile Extraction Technicians (METs) in which I was responsible for the extraction of data from cellular devices, tablets, and external storage units in furtherance of Federal criminal investigations
  • Since I was certified as a technician, I have performed extractions, reports, and efforts in furtherance of extractions for an excess of eight hundred (1200) cellular phones and/or electronics devices
  • In 2018, I was assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force to work investigations involving domestic/homegrown terrorists or organizations
  • For this position, I was required to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance, which afforded me the opportunity to work inside a SCIF facility
  • In 2019, I was assigned to Baltimore Group VI whereby I worked firearms trafficking investigations, EXILE cases, and cases involving links developed by the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN)
  • I was assigned as an On-the-Job Training Instructor (OJT) for a new agents who recently graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)
  • In 2019, I became the Baltimore Field Division's primary Mobile Extraction Technician (MET) whereby I became the Point of Contact for all digital evidence for ATF's Baltimore Field Division, which covers the state of Maryland and Delaware
  • In 2020, I participated and passed the Berla/IVE Vehicle Systems Forensic Course and received certifications as a Vehicle Systems Forensic Technician, and Vehicle Systems Forensic Examiner
  • This training included the removal of infotainment systems from different makes and models of vehicles, and the implementation of the specialized software on the system to generate intelligence from a user/operator
  • Upon passing this training, I was certified as a Vehicle Systems Forensic Examiner and a Vehicle Systems Forensic Technician
  • In 2021, I participated and successfully passed ATF's Digital Media Collection Specialist (DMCS) training whereby I was provided additional training in modules regarding 'Introduction to Digital Evidence Collection,' and 'Computer Acquisition Techniques.'
