Retail associate/Department Head/Backup Cash Office
3 Years- I got hired starting as a part time cashier where I did a number of different tasks depending on the day. Some of these tasks included running on a register, unloading our truck on shipment days where i got comfortable using a hand dolly and pallet jack, as well as unboxing merchandise and stocking it on the sales floor.
- I later got promoted to a full-time employee as head of the "Jewelry & Wearable Art" department where I would still cashier, stock, and unbox merchandise in addition to ordering merchandise for that department, keeping track of stock, recovering and cleaning the area, puttng items away, and assisting customers with any questions regarding my department.
- I was additionallly trained as a backup cash office employee where I was required to count money and keep track of store sales, rebuild the register bags from the previous day, check and send emails, fill out bank slips, make and manage change orders through the bank, and file tax exempt forms.
Activities director and Dishwasher
6 Months- I was hired over the summer to plan and manage activities for the elder residents, and in my free time I would help with taking residents food orders, serving food and beverages, cleaning up the dishes, wiping down the tables, and setting them. I would additionally help with janitorial duties such as vacuuming and cleaning the windows whenever needed. When school started back up I became a dishwasher on weekdays and helped with resident activities on weekends.
