Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.

Aid in transporting residents to the clinic.

I acquired the skill of working on a ventilation unit.

I have the opportunity of working with the wound care team when providing care for the residents.

Assist and shadow the nurses on the Med-surge nursing floor. Refill pitchers and provide snacks for the patients. Answer call bells and assist in picking up the trays. I also volunteer on the radiology floor stamping letters and orienting patients on where to find the women center for mammography.

I was responsible of helping residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding and ambulation. I had the opportunity to develop skills such as working under pressure and in a bariatric unit.

I interned at Kings County Hospital in the OB/GYN department where I had the opportunity to learn more about babies and inform mothers on the benefits of breastfeeding. I also filled out questionnaires and taught the new mothers about safety precautions on formula and bottle feeding.
