- Perform preventive maintenance on various engines in the gas field, such as changing oil and filters, lubricating parts, and checking fluid levels. I am over the repair and maintenance of right at 140 engines ranging from 4 cylinder 3.0L chevy engines, ford 300-6 cyl., cummins 5.9 6 cyl. , single cyl. arrow c-46, c-66, and c-96 engines.
- Diagnose and make repairs on all external components of the engines including water pumps, thermostats, temp gauges, radiators, alternators, starters, ignition modules, coils, altronics, wiring harnesses.
- Replace front and rear main seals, timing covers, oil pan gaskets, head gaskets, cylinder heads, hydraulic pumps, and seals, hyd. lines, check valves, hydraulic valves, and o-rings.
- Turn in completed work orders, part request forms, keep my service truck stocked, clean and organized.
- Check morning reports and daily emails, in order to dispatch to down engines and high priority tasks.
- Follow safety guide lines, stay up to date on training.
Battery Mechanic, Section Mechanic

- Repair, maintain, and transport a large fleet of batteries used in underground mining. Batteries varied in size and voltage, as well as the types of equipment they powered.
- Repairs consisted of installing new cells or fixing damaged cells. Carbon arc welding new lead posts and straps that connect the battery cells. Install or repair load carrying copper cables.
- Section mechanic work consisted of general maintenance of all the underground mining equipment. Replace damaged hydraulic cylinders, lines, pumps, bearings, conveyor belt rollers. Repair/replace damaged high volt cable, electric drive motors, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues. Repair air and water supply lines. Basically anything in my means to keep mining coal safely.
