• Leadership Team and Departmental Management: Directly manage a high-performing leadership team responsible for Department of Public Works (DPW) Logistics, Event Production Contractors, DPW Purchasing, and Site Services. Through this tier, I oversee the broader Business Services department and a combined workforce of approximately 60 employees.

• As a 911 Medical Dispatcher, I was at the heart of the action, keeping tabs on EMS units (BLS, ILS, and ALS) across the greater Salt Lake City area and rural Utah. My role involved answering emergency and non-emergency calls with urgency, providing life-saving prehospital care instructions, and dispatching the right response teams to the right places.
• I juggled resource allocation to match the ever-changing demands of our response zones, ensuring we had the right coverage where it mattered most. Working with complex software like Priority Dispatch ProQA EMD and CAD systems like Infor Enroute, Spillman FLEX, and Fire Mobile, I kept records accurate, up-to-date, and provided timely and concise life saving measures in high stress situations.
• On top of that, I delivered detailed pre-arrival instructions to callers and response teams, helping everyone stay on the same page during high-stakes situations. Communication was key, so I operated multi-zone two-way radios, paging systems (Motorola and AVTEC Scout), and public safety channels like a pro.

• Provide high level analytical support to Terminal Managers, focusing on on-going driver development initiatives that support safety and retention goals. Proactively work to build relationships with Driving Associates, supporting and recognizing excellent performance while assisting team members in achieving the organization’s objectives.

• As the Operations Manager at Express Shuttle, owned by Canyon Transportation, I oversaw all aspects of day-to-day operations for a transportation service connecting Salt Lake International Airport with hotels, homes, businesses, and schools within a 60-mile radius. My role spanned dispatch management, driver recruitment, and group event coordination, ensuring smooth and reliable service for a diverse range of customers.
• I was responsible for recruiting and onboarding both company drivers and owner-operators, providing thorough training, and fostering ongoing driver development. I also ensured compliance with DOT regulations, including maintaining accurate driver qualification files, and managed scheduling to optimize efficiency while meeting customer demands.
• It was a dynamic role requiring a balance of people management, logistics expertise, and regulatory oversight, all while ensuring our team delivered safe, reliable, and professional transportation services.

• As Fleet Manager for a small trucking company, I wore many hats to keep operations running smoothly. I managed a fleet of 7 semi-trucks and oversaw 7 over-the-road drivers who transported high-value freight across the United States. Building and maintaining strong business relationships was a big part of my role, from acquiring new freight opportunities to nurturing existing partnerships.
• Ensuring safe, prompt, and on-time delivery was always priority number one. My day-to-day focus revolved around complex logistical planning—mapping out efficient freight routes that balanced safety, cost-effectiveness, and maximum operational efficiency.
• Beyond logistics, I handled vendor relationships, processed load documents, managed payroll and employee reimbursements, handled invoices and bank deposits, and reported use taxes. I also kept a sharp eye on compliance, ensuring adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and state DOT requirements.
• It was a dynamic, fast-paced role where I learned to juggle the details while keeping the big picture in mind—a balance of strategic thinking and day-to-day problem-solving.

• As Director of Operations for Utah Trailways, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, managing a team of 50 employees and a fleet of 22 charter motor coaches. My role required extensive logistical planning and dispatch coordination to ensure seamless and cost-effective operations.
• I was the first point of contact for both clients and staff, addressing operational issues promptly while fostering strong customer relationships tailored to their growth and needs. Vendor management and ensuring a positive customer experience were key priorities, alongside maintaining strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
• In addition to office management and handling IFTA reporting, I took charge of human resources functions, including hiring, terminations, employee guidance, and training. One of my most impactful contributions was leading the company’s transition from paper-based record-keeping to advanced software solutions, streamlining operations and boosting efficiency.
• I also developed and implemented comprehensive employee training programs, equipping staff with the tools and knowledge to perform at their best while maintaining the company’s high standards of safety and service.

• As the primary point of contact, I worked to build positive growth in customer relationships by proactively identifying and managing client transportation needs from beginning to end. Some of my direct clients were JPMorgan Chase, Adobe, Xango, Nu Skin Enterprises, Mona Vie, Sundance Film Festival and Young Living Farms. I effectively balanced work, both inside the office and on-site at client's events as the liaison between the client and All Resort Group. I managed relationships with the vendors. I bid on RFPs and obtained new business regularly through calculated utilization of a diverse fleet of equipment including: Shuttle vans, Lincoln town cars, Cadillac Escalades, livery fleet, motor coaches, transits and other miscellaneous vehicles. I effectively managed over 100 different employees (dispatchers and drivers) and a fleet of vehicles across the Western US.
