  • Checking the engine blocks and heads for cracks using a magnetic dust

  • Read reports and create a schedule for myself based off of personal efficiency and ship dates on the reports
  • Process would include paint, inspect complete engine, mount and run the engine, tune and run multiple tests on engines, and then final inspection before wrapping it up to ship
  • Ran diesel and gasoline engines and also had to know specifications for all engines in both fuel types
  • Driving a forklift on the daily basis
  • Making fast judgement calls based on experience while the engine is running inches away from you
  • Being the last person to look at the engine and ensure high quality before it shipped to a customer
