- CSS is also responsible for making sure the patient follows all policies and procedures set by the companies standards
- Responsibilities of a CSS: Evaluating the urgency of the needs of the patients including but not limited to: working correct workflows set by the CSS handbook, scheduling patients, updating patient demographics, problem solving any pharmacy related issues, collecting payments, providing patients with release of information (ROI) forms, completing medical record request (in house and outside requests), drug screen (UDS) coordination, patient discharges and re-enrollments
- Prior Authorization (PA) knowledgeable via CoverMyMeds ( CMM)
- Also knowledgeable in completing PA's via the patient's insurance through phone line or online portals
- Working closely with the providers to assist in meeting the needs and concerns of the patients
- Multiple programs used to efficiently meet the patient needs: Phone calls (incoming & outgoing), EMR Athena Health, SMS, Slack, Zoom, Google docs, Google Meet, Chat threads through the APP (Freshworks), Oracle, Bitrix, IntakeQ, CoverMyMeds.
