In May of 2026, I was a part of a field school in Ohio working in a cemetery. The students there were helping IRLAB with their goal, which is to explore and reconstruct the human past by excavating ancient settlements and studying what our predecessors left behind, from material culture to skeletal remains. At the same time, it is planned to investigate the environment in which this anthropic evidence is contextualized by means of surface archaeological surveys, as well as topographic and systematic field surveys.
