I am always ready to learn something new to better the person i already have become. I was raised to never settle, but to strive to be better. Teach those that need to learn something and feed off those that have knowledge that i current do not have. I have been in the Mechanical Design felid for over 20 years now, I started at the bottom and worked my way up. I have a very strong background in sheet metal.

  • In this position I do a list of different things. Just a few of the things I do on a day to day basis is as follows:
  • Process standard and custom orders as they come into the department
  • Do both 2d and 3d drawings for customers and production as needed
  • Work With everything from simple parts for fans to highly complex special fan assemblies
  • Work side by side with engineering in developing new products
  • Process ECN’s as well as ECR’s
  • Also helped develop and design test fixtures for our fans as well.
  • I also check orders before they go out to the customer and production plants.
  • Make sure orders are flowing thru the department in a timely matter, so we can make set ship dates
  • Manage the order in the department and assign them to the drafter to make sure we hold our 7 day or less turn around on drawings. I also work with the shops to figure out what orders they need right away to give them ample time to produce the product.

  • I attended Hennepin Technical college in the evening while working full time to complete the Inventor 3D training course
  • I carry a number of Solidworks Certificates: Associates, Professional, Sheet metal Specialist, Weldments Specialist, & Drawing template Specialist I also just completed the Solidworks Surface modeling course as well
  • I joined the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1998 where I served 10 years I graduated basic Combat training from Fort Knox, KY in August of 1998
  • I am always looking to better myself, and make myself a little stronger in my field of training So I am always willing to go the extra step and get the needed training

I current hold 6 Solidworks Certificates: SolidWorks Associates, SolidWorks Professional, SolidWorks Advanced Drawing Tools, SolidWorks Advanced Weldments, SolidWorks Advanced Sheet metal, SolidWorks Advanced Surfacing.

Interests

I have a strong interest in the Automotive field as I work on and build hot rods and classics in my spare time while at home
