Organizations And Philanthropy

  • Bridgeway Academy's Staff Scholarship Committee, Committee member, Committee member that served as the campaign manager. Responsibility included mapping out the campaign, establish fundraising goals for the year, assign duties to other committee members during the campaign, disseminate information to staff and faculty members, and plan events to reach fundraising targets. Money raised provides additional therapeutic services for students at Bridgeway Academy when families are unable to afford services and when county funding is not present. Donors to Staff Scholarship are exclusively Bridgeway Academy faculty and staff members.
  • Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Served as Vice President in 2013 and Secretary from 2012-2013, Helped in fundraisers and programs that promoted the fraternity's philanthropy , The Ability Experience (formally Push America).
  • The Ability Experience, Journey of Hope cross country cyclist in 2013, Raised over $5,500 as a team member and $500,000 as an event for people with disabilities. The money was given in the form of grants to non-profit organizations that specialized in helping people with disabilities. The money is used to make facilities more accessible and also to provide equipment and toys to enrich the lives of clients. Interacted with many children and adults that had Down-Syndrome, ASD, PKU, Fragile X Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Paralysis and other conditions and disorders. Participated in the running of the 2019 Marine Corp. Marathon on behalf of the organization. This participation included fundraising along with pushing an Enabled athlete throughout the marathon.
  • Dance Marathon Steering Board, 2015, Served as the Bike for Tikes Chair, Led a team of nine individuals during the 2014-2015 school year in planning and fundraising for a 180-mile bike ride from Cincinnati to Bowling Green. Established safety policies and guidelines to make sure all 140 cyclists arrived safely back to BGSU. Raised over $100,000 as an event for the organization Dance Marathon. First Bike for Tikes team to ever surpass the $100,000 goal. Dance Marathon raised a record total of $341,749.34 for Mercy Children's Hospital in Toledo that year. Continuously inspired by the stories families would share about how their child would defy the odds of recovering a from a life threatening disease and illness.
