Triage patients upon presentation and carry out immediate first aid in stat cases, including CPR

Assist doctor in all aspects of their patient care from check in, diagnostics, treatments, hospitalization, and discharge

Perform laboratory diagnostics in cytology, blood analysis, and parasitology

Induce and maintain anesthesia on surgical and dental procedures, as well as assistance with sedated patients

Triage patients upon presentation and carry out immediate first aid in stat cases, including CPR

Admit patients for hospitalization with full rounds to ICU technician and complete treatment sheets

Perform laboratory diagnostics in cytology, blood analysis, and parasitology

Induce and maintain anesthesia on outpatient cases including urinary obstructions and laceration repairs

Provide excellent nursing care to assigned ward including all treatments, fluid therapy, transfusion therapy and lab work during 12-hour shift

Provide training and guidance to staff in all areas of nursing via formal presentations and one on one interactions

Develop protocol for hospitalized patients including record keeping and nursing care

Assist doctors with emergency patients after hours and weekends in addition to day practice

Serve in all areas of hospital including front desk, rooms, treatment area, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and kennels

Provide exceptional nursing care to critical patients including CPR, stabilization, fluid therapy, and transfusion therapy

Place and maintain peripheral intravenous and central line intravenous catheters

Place and maintain urinary catheters in male and female canine patients

Calculate and administer medications as directed, including CRI’s

Operate and interpret multi-parameter monitoring systems

Assist doctors with exams and carry out treatments as prescribed on dogs, cats, and exotics

Place and maintain intravenous catheters, obtain laboratory samples via venipuncture and cystocentesis and evaluate accordingly

Induce and maintain anesthesia on patients during surgical procedures, assist doctors practicing aseptic technique, and recover patients post-operatively

Perform dental prophylaxis, take and develop dental radiographs, and extract teeth as directed

Take and develop radiographs using traditional developer and digital programming

Serve as Safety Coordinator to oversee OSHA compliance

Perform daily animal husbandry and observation of bird collection, consisting of penguins, alcids, parrots, flamingoes, passerines, and waterfowl

Assist Veterinary staff in surgical procedures and administration of medication and follow up treatment

Mentor staff in all areas of department for career development

Represent Anheuser Busch Adventure Parks via public relations appearances on television, radio, in schools, and at special events
