• Assisted in research for Dr. Angela Huebner that looked directly at the effect that a military deployment has on the effective of adolescent attachment with their mother
• Worked with research on the behavioral effects of military deployment on adolescents
• Worked extensively in the Developmental Research Lab at Texas Christian University that orchestrates a five-week summer intervention camp, The Hope Connection, for special needs adoption children and their families, specializing in internationally adopted children who have spent significant time in an institution
• Examined and scored the self-drawings of the children who attended the camp with the intent of using this data to assess the psychological state of the children and the possible effectiveness of the camp on the children
• Collaborated with other lab members to gather data from a group of school-aged children to compare with the data previously collected during the summer camp
