
Over the years of employment with the State of Ohio I developed dynamic proposal writing and business analysis skills. In which I successfully secured federal grants to fund a statewide health initiatives, ensuring accountability of nearly a million dollars. Proven ability to develop quick rapport and provide technical assistance, enhancing program compliance and effectiveness.
Developed and applied for federal grants that helped fund a state wide health service program, Baby and Tobacco free. This program was county ran using finds obtained from federal grants monies. Program was used to assurance pregnant mothers had funds for diapers and other assistances where needed.
My other job duties would follow as the lead for the program where I would ensure proper use of funds. Furthermore provided technical assistance to sub grantees, in which I monitored proper procedures were followed. I would maintain that all funding was awarded to the sub grantees and that compliance was achieved in how funds were used.
Further duties included proper accountability of close to million dollars in grant funding. Maintained monthly reports to the federal government explaining use of funds
Provided assistance to State of Ohio Employees. Primary duties involved mental health assistance, referrals to mental health professionals, ranging from drug abuse, suicidal ideation, gambling, domestic violence, referrals to financial professionals. All awhile maintaining confidentiality. Also provided suicidal intervention hot line.
Further duties was being a main point of contact for various departments with in the state of Ohio. ( Departments were divided to each consultant). Would also provide training to departments of state of Ohio. These training could involve stress management, anger control, informational about EAP. There were many trainings in which our department could offer.
Provided mental health treatment or intervention to juveniles committed to the development for incarceration. Duties included Social skills development , problem solving, anger management, intervention that were personalized for the youth. That’s duties were conducted in group sessions as well as individual counseling and assigned various staff team members.
Further duties included providing detail reports to courts, parole board concerning youths progress. Would provide explanations to whether release or not release the youth. Run team meetings in which youth’s progress was discussed between direct staff, teachers and others who were involved with the youth.
Maintained daily and monthly reports concerning the youth and any contact this worker made with the youth.
