During my time at camp, I was entrusted with a variety of different tasks that I needed to complete. I had to:
- Supervise campers and ensure their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
- Maintain a schedule for camp participants.
- Facilitate lesson plans for daily activities.
- Organize and lead various small and large group activities.
- Assist in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
- Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
- Mediate any campers' disputes.
- Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of your charges at all times.
- Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and the body of water areas.
- Educate children about nature conservation and outdoor living skills such as building shelters or starting fires safely.
- Facilitate team-building exercises among different age groups of campers.
