Maintain primary and secondary zones within the Solaris server PD2 Sybase database and successfully test backup and restore capabilities. Obtain daily snapshots of the primary zone to ensure continuity of operations.

Perform periodic system reviews and suggest upgrades and modifications to optimize the PD2 system. Implemented Computerized Accounts Payable System (CAPs) integration into the CDR-A components of PD2 to assist the DMA Contracting Shop with automatic payments to Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
Optimize, upgrade, and maintain the PD2 Sybase database and the T-ASA 4GL Informix database. Design and create system alterations as needed and as requested by the customer. Coordinate with the customer to upgrade and increase storage space and ensure maximum uptime.
Create in depth system documentation and update the knowledge base for the PD2 and T-ASA system and interfaces. Provide training on these systems to both users and coworkers as necessary. Periodically re-evaluate customer needs to confirm they are being met.
Serve as the security representative for the Contracting systems, and maintain a security plan and ensure that the systems and databases are secure from unauthorized access. Ensure the PD2 and T-ASA systems are compliant with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) to adhere to Information Assurance (IA) guidelines.
Program and debug Informix 4GL and SQL and provide customer support to Genero users. Create implementation plans and perform testing on all new code within a development environment prior to implementing within the production system.
Manage and monitor the EDA file transfer process on the ASF Server to ensure the successful update of the WAWF website.
Perform database administration duties for Informix and Sybase systems. Perform routine system analyst checks to verify system performance.
