Responsibilities

• Assist M.E. with prototyping and validating tooling and programming
• Assist M.E. with implementing 6S in work cell
• Assist M.E. with work instructions, tooling and setup sheets
• Implement 6S within CNC area
• Maintain tooling inventory system
• Create new jaw sets when necessary
• Train new employees to operate CNCs, train existing operators to setup CNCs
• Perform probe calibrations and data collection on tooling
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes
• Work with Coordinator to forecast cell work loads
• Setup & operate (HAAS & Okuma) horizontal turning centers with 2 axis & 3 axis with live tooling
• Setup & operate (HAAS) vertical milling centers with 3 axis, pallet changer, trunnion.
• Setup & operate VBXC and DC-1 Robot cells
• Set up, operate & maintain horizontal ban saw and replace blade when needed
• Perform quality checks per blueprint
• Maintain all metrology in area including calipers, micrometers, attribute gauges, indicators, granite block.
• Perform autonomous maintenance involving cleaning machines, tooling, coolant tanks & monitoring oil, grease & coolant levels
• Utilize software to record downtime events, production and scrap.
