Wayfinder
- Working at the front desk and guiding patients to the right location of their needs.
My name is Daisy Garcia. I have worked at LCHC for about 2 years and I could say it's been a great learning experience. I started as a wayfinder. It's working at the front desk and guiding patients to the right location for their needs. However, that is not the only responsibility I have taken being part of LCHC. I have worked in all the adult medicine departments as a receptionist and also as a part of our pediatrics team and Urgent care working as they call a 'floater'. Recently our OB/GYN became my permanent department and the workflow is very different but I was able to adapt quickly to the team. - Waitlist - Faxes - Booking appointments - Reviewing insurances - Phone calls to book appointments - Working fast pace in UC - Using Epic workspace - Checking patients in - Learned how to deescalate situations - Reliable and punctual - Team player mentality - Reading comprehension skills - Adapt to different environments quickly - Verbal/written communication - Written and oral communication skills - Listening skills - Outgoing personality - Helpful to others on my team - Very responsible - Good customer service
I currently work as a Medical Receptionist at CHA and also work at the call center atleast once a week
