I have looked for a career that I can see myself growing my life with. Confidently I have found that with SiteOne. In every one of my roles, I have fully immersed myself allowing me to shock everyone with the information that I am able to retain. Customers find it very easy to work with me, as well as stating how much they feel valued by our interactions. I am really strong with numbers, patterns, and communication. Many of my past employers have commended me on my work ethic, stating it's hard to find good workers nowadays.
I started work within the SiteOne family with very little knowledge. During my onboarding process, I encouraged my managers to push me to see how much I was capable of. I was hired on as a driver, and after 3 months I was given the promotion to Shipping. My dedication to SiteOne has allowed me to drastically grow my understanding of irrigation and hardscapes. I have taken on the role of leader in many situations allowing our store to run more fluently. Numbers just stick in my head, which has helped me remember all the codes we have.
I was not the typical Uber driver that comes to mind. My day started very early, around 3 am. I only took my clients to and from the airport until roughly 9 am. This opportunity allowed me to have high-level conversations that were priceless, from people all over the world. I mainly picked up business people traveling to the airport pretty frequently. I then took the business off Uber, and on to a more one-on-one style relationship. I set up schedules for my clients and ensured their safety when traveling to and from home. This has allowed me to learn how to have a healthy productive conversation while removing my own personal thoughts and emotions.
My responsibilities included grounds-keeping, pool maintenance, make-ready, and completing work orders. My properties had the cleanest curbside appeal and always gave the new home feeling when entering.
I decided to leave Ram Partners because it did not fit my growth path. I have a dedicated work ethic and want to learn as much as possible, and with maintenance, the career path was not fit. I received multiple offers to stay and to even come back, however, I love the constant growth and there was very little opportunity.
This was my first career out of high school, while I was in college. I was hired as a sales associate and received a promotion within 6 months of working. The roles I was given included, payroll, inventory (quarterly and annually), scheduling, and ensuring our productivity was met. Outside my normal roles, I encouraged my peers to set goals for themselves. This helped with our store having one of the highest grossing sales, as well as winning numerous rewards. I worked all over the Dallas, Tx metroplex average of 60-70 hours weekly.
I decided to leave Aldi because it came down to school. I was not ready to finish my degree, and growth was not possible for me during that time.
