Dynamic and adaptable, I worked on my leadership and customer service skills at Chick Fill A and as a Youth Sports Official. Excelling in teamwork, professionalism, and quick decision-making, I effectively managed conflicts and ensured positive experiences, demonstrating my commitment to integrity and adaptability without compromising on fun or service quality.
As a cashier, my main job was helping customers have a great experience. I handled money, gave people their change, and made sure they got the right orders. I learned how to work quickly and stay organized, even when it was super busy.
One thing I got really good at was being friendly and polite to everyone. I greeted each customer with a smile, answered questions about the menu, and made sure to fix any issues if something wasn’t right. It felt good to know I was helping make their day better.
I also helped keep my workspace clean and stocked. If we were running low on something, like cups or straws, I’d make sure to refill them, so the next person wouldn’t have to stop.
Overall, being a cashier taught me how to stay focused, work with a team, and be professional—even when the line was out the door. Plus, I liked knowing that what I was doing helped the whole restaurant run smoothly!
As a youth sports official, I was responsible for keeping the game fair and fun for everyone involved. I made sure players followed the rules, kept the game moving, and helped create a positive environment for the teams, coaches, and fans.
One of the biggest things I learned was staying calm under pressure. Sometimes, parents or coaches would get really into the game, but I had to stay focused and make confident calls. I also enjoyed helping younger players learn the rules, and encouraging good sportsmanship on the field. Also, it reminds me of the years when I was playing, and my parents were yelling at the official.
It was a great experience because I got to be part of the game while developing leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Plus, it felt rewarding to know I was helping kids enjoy playing sports.
