As the Racial Justice Coordinator at the Women's Center, I plan two major events each academic year. One is the Black, Indigenous and Women of Color Symposium. The symposium centers around intersectional healing. The other is the Lyllye B. Parker Black, Indigenous and Women of Color Speaker Series. The event highlights a Woman of Color actively fighting for justice and peace within the BIWOC community. Additionally, it reminds people of Ms. Lyllye B. Parker's incredible life story and what she has done for her community.
I also lead initiatives to promote equity and inclusivity. Develop educational conversations, facilitated workshops, and collaborate with diverse student groups to address issues of racial justice. Advocate for marginalized communities and foster a supportive environment focused on intersectional advocacy and empowerment.
