Daniel McDevitt

I assist the Phillies Marketing and Events departments with the planning and execution of game day operations, focusing on fan engagement, promotional activations, and live entertainment. I help execute pregame ceremonies including first pitches, national anthems, award recognitions, honor guards, in-game promotions, and Phanatic skits during the 5th and 7th innings. I actively support major promotional events such as Opening Day, Alumni Weekend, Theme and Heritage Nights, Post-game Concerts, Fan Appreciation Day, and much more. I also engage with fans through stadium giveaways, interactive promotions, gate activations, and on-field experiences like hot dog launches and Run & Stroll the Bases. I also assist with setting up and maintaining in-stadium sponsorship activations and coordinate entertainment groups including bands, choirs, and dance teams. Beyond games, I contribute to special events such as kids’ clinics and batting challenges. This role requires adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a schedule that included nights, weekends, and holidays.

I am the founder of Rally Sports Network, where I assume manage the organization's operations. My role involves overseeing all broadcasts from live to pre-recorded, ranging from commentary, video engineering, camerawork, and personally handling play-by-play commentary. Additionally, I am involved in scripting broadcast segments, designing overlays, and creating graphics for both broadcasts and our social media platforms. Managing sponsorship accounts and ensuring sponsor satisfaction are also within my purview. Another realm of the business that is under my control is the oversight of our finances. I manage and approve budgets for the company. I also take charge of scheduling games and serve as the primary point of contact for teams seeking our broadcasting services. Furthermore, I coordinate the schedules of camera operators, video engineers, and color commentators with the assistance of our network of interns.

As an integral part of WBCB live broadcasting, I fully immerse myself in the fast-paced world of sports media. My dynamic role encompasses conducting insightful post-game, pre-game, and mid-game interviews with athletes, providing in-depth game statistics, and hosting engaging shows during intermissions. I meticulously track and report on various statistics to keep our audience informed and captivated. Additionally, I occasionally operate the camera, ensuring high-quality visual coverage. My multifaceted contributions to WBCB live broadcasting demonstrate my versatility, expertise, and passion for sports journalism. As a play-by-play commentator, I deliver real-time, engaging coverage of live sports events, providing detailed descriptions of each play, key moments, and player performances. I bring energy and excitement to the broadcast, keeping listeners and viewers immersed in the game. My role involves preparing thoroughly by researching teams, players, and stats, allowing me to offer insightful commentary and context that enrich the audience’s experience. My clear, concise communication and deep knowledge of the game help create a vivid and captivating narrative that enhances fans' connection to the action.

I coordinated mascot appearances to maximize fan engagement while ensuring their safety. I interacted with fans to enhance their experience, addressed inquiries, provided information about ongoing promotions, and offered assistance as needed. Additionally, I monitored the execution of promotions and events, troubleshooting any issues promptly to ensure smooth operations. I also have the ability to host games, utilizing my leadership skills to manage the promotions crew and ensure smooth operations. I provided fun and enjoyable commentary during the promotions, enhancing the overall fan experience and maintaining a lively atmosphere.
