These UPLs encompass the entirety of the Butler VA and are in various departments such as long-term care, acute care, rehabilitation, dental, PT, OT and the outpatient clinics located in the vicinity of Butler VA.
  • VA. Manages all pieces of equipment that are utilized for the safe transfers of Veterans to maintain the safety of the caregivers. The equipment is catalogued, ordered, and stored in an organized fashion.
  • Expert in managing a substantial budget and communicating with nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborates with various companies to secure superior products at the best rates to help improve the care for Veterans.
  • Subject matter expert and one of 5 instructors invited to teach Safe Patient Handling at the national level for all VA facilities via various conferences.
