In my work for Economic Workforce Development at MPTC, I have demonstrated the ability to adapt existing curriculum to meet the needs of a specific customer. In one situation I was able to pivot very quickly when I realized the content of the days session was at a bit lower level than what the participants required. I adjusted the materials as the session progressed and received very positive feedback from the group participants.

This is a comment from a recent program student on their course evaluation, 'This has been one of my favorite courses to take because he made the coursework relatable, easy to understand, and brought new angles and perspectives to the table. I appreciated how he took simple subjects and expanded them. He was understanding how difficult the application process is to become a good leader and slowed it down for better understanding". What a great example of Wowing the Customer!

As the Learning Support Service Coordinator at NWTC I was selected to lead a weeklong process improvement event with the purpose of revising the current new instructor training program. The Instructor Preparation Academy was developed and implemented is still in use today. I was a mid-level manager at the time and various upper-level and executive level leaders where involved in the event. This is truly an example of 'Leading Up' in an organization.

In my role as Dean at MPTC I was the hiring manager for the addition of seven new instructors. Currently six of those seven instructors are still employed by the college. An important role of any leader is selecting the right people and providing them with the opportunity to not only succeed. In my opinion, this is an example of leaving a legacy within an organization.
