Summary

I have worked in a continuously changing landscape with constantly changing demands. One can at times find themselves to be in a high pressure environment. It can also be very rewarding as well. I have spent years working on life skills with students with Autism Spectrum disorder. This means working on their individual goals as well as goals on inclusion and adapting to the requirements of the environment around them. When possible it is important to take opportunities as well to educate the community of the needs of my students that they can not control. I was the designated Autism Service Animal handler for the duration of a student and his service animal during their time in our facility.

Currently I am in a behavioral and emotional program that allows students to fully participate and in many cases excell in the general curriculum while providing the support for this to occur. What that means is communication. communicating with the students. Communicating with my team. Communicating with the administration to allow all of the moving parts to perform and integrate into the world we all are a part of. This can be a challenging task to find balance to best encourage a successful outcome for all.

Personal

I Grew Up In Glenview and Know the North Shore very well. I live in Skokie and Work in Glencoe. I spend a lot of time in the city of Chicago which i also know very well. I have always sought knowledge on history and architecture and Chicago is one fo the best places to experience this. I have spent years racing mountain bikes and currently ride often as a hobby. I travel as often as I can when the opportunity allows which I find is often thanks to the large network of friends that I have maintained, many since elementary school. I am a SCUBA diver who is one session away from completing my Rescue Diver certificate. This hobby has taken me to many amazing places. I enjoy camping and road trips. I have spent years snowboarding and love how this hobby has taken me many times out west from Colorado to Tahoe, but also to Switzerland and Chamonix France. While on these trips I always make sure to visit historical and architectural sights as well. I like to learn and think. I like to be challenged in my thoughts. Currently I am looking to expand my horizons
