- Processes specimens for testing, including aliquoting, pre-analytical steps, and loading instruments, while maintaining proper specimen identification.
- Acts as a resource and trains new employees.
- Assists Supervisor with workflow improvement, dept. projects and implementation of system initiatives, where appropriate.
- Assist in a specialty area of the laboratory department, including but not limited to Microbiology, Genetics, Anatomic Pathology, Transfusion Services, etc.
- Assists supervisor and technical specialist in inspection preparedness. Familiar with CAP checklist items that pertain to their duties in the areas of their oversight.
