Starting all the way back in my custodial work, I have always been nudged into management, I do not necessarily desire a management role, unless it makes sense to do so. Some of the reasons that I believe that I have been given these roles are due to my temperament.
- I am quite competitive in the best way. No matter what situation I am in, I want whatever team I am working with to be pleased that I am working with them, and I always want to honor someone's trust that I will get the job done. I have a strong desire to be competent.
- I believe in being reliable generally, not just for work. I prefer to live in a world where people do what they say they are going to do, and tell the truth. Not only am I prompt for my employers, but doctor's appointments and family events alike.
- I am a christian, and I believe that you should treat others the way you would like to be treated. I do not believe that being stressed out is in any way an excuse to be rude or angry with someone. When I have a bad day, that stays between God and I and I am very careful to not let frustration effect my relationships with others. I believe this was key in my success in management.
