The skills and experience that I have obtained during my time as a Correctional Officer and EMT that would be most beneficial for this job would include the following; During my time as a Correctional Officer I would conduct pat down searches of inmates while maintaining situational awareness. I served on the Correctional Emergency Response Team as one of their CERT Medics to provide immediate first aid to correctional staff, inmates and bystanders as needed, while operating as part of the tactical team. I was tasked with transporting inmates between facilities while armed. During my time as an EMT I was tasked with conducting educational training as well as acting as a Field Training Officer. I assisted various police agencies and fire departments during different inter-departmental operations.
