Led project teams, set goals, management milestones, and performed resource management to ensure compliance with schedule and budget commitments. Ensured data integrity by designing and coordinating system implementation projects.
  • Instituted systematic testing techniques for a medical patient monitoring system that revealed critical system defects previously undiscovered.
  • Client: Pershing LLC
  • Involved with team of ten in analyzing, remediating and testing over 300 applications to ensure the applications were Y2K compliant. Responsible for all aspects of project development and execution.
  • Project included applications that ran in both mainframe and PC environments. Project team consisted of team of approximately 10 persons with specific skills in: application analysis and design, IT delivery and support, and test design and test execution.
  • Project required coordinating activities between project team working primarily in Milwaukee and client’s IT staff located in New Jersey. Project ran for approximately 18 months with a budget of 2+ million dollars.
  • Client: Aurora Health Care
  • Involved with a team that at sometimes consisted of up to 125 persons in a project that achieved two objectives: 1) the standardization of the organization’s client server hardware configuration, 2) redeployment of an agreed upon “best of breed” application in all cases where the organization deployed multiple applications to perform the same function, and 3) ensure that the revised environment was 100% Y2K compliant.
  • Environment consisted of over 500 workstations, 300 servers and applications and ten million lines of code. The project team consisted of a senior project manager, 4 regional project managers, network administrators, PC and server technicians, persons skilled in the areas of testing network configurations, test analysis, load/stress testing and software functionality and performance objectives, trainers, and technical writers.
  • The project ran for over 24 month with a budget of over five million dollars and was completed within very stringent time requirements.
  • Client: Manpower International
  • Assignment included two objectives. The first objective was to assume maintenance and operational control of the company’s legacy mission critical client billing system and the mission critical legacy system to facilitate making payroll payments to thousands of employee’s that a hired on a temporary basis.
  • Led a team that had to ensure both systems continued to perform successfully under very strict performance requirements. Team consisted of up to ten programmers and programmer/analysts, and operational personnel and consisted of persons employed by both Manpower and Compuware. This assignment ran for over 30 months. Within that timeframe the team was able to ensure 97% availability of applications within both the billing and payroll systems.
  • This work involved analyzing and comparing how these functions were performed on both platforms and then making recommendations for when current practices should be modified to comply with the functionality of the JD Edwards application and when it would be advantageous to modify the JD Edwards application to preserve corporate advantages.
  • As part of these also modified the mainframe applications to collect real time data that could be used in running parallel tests of like functions within the JD Edwards application. Real time collection of the data eliminated the possibility of data errors and omissions and reduced the time and effort to collect and synthesis test data by hours per day.
