Summary

Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD)

23 year relationship with the HCFCD with over 50 projects completed. Scope of work included: channel improvement, channel stabilization, slope repair, erosion repair, mass excavation, placement of fill and stabilization materials including granular fill and riprap. He has worked on most of the channels in Harris County and is intimately familiar with the unique challenges that come with working in a channel.


United States Army Corps of Engineers(USACE)

Established a 17 year relationship with the USACE and successfully completed contracts with a value in excess of 100 million dollars. Provided the USACE numerous "Value Engineering" design changes and enabled the owner to remain in budget and provided a quality project. Project scope included: channel realignment, channel construction, slope failure repair and stabilization, sheet piling installation, removal and replacement of concrete structures and storm water pipes and structures.


Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

Completed multiple design build projects for the VA which covers many aspects of construction, including but not limited to buildings, road construction, mass excavation, channel stabilization, wetland mitigation, landscaping and irrigation.


San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA)

Successfully completed numerous projects for the SJRA that consisted of channel reconstruction, channel repair, desiltation, siphon removal and replacement, slope erosion repair, sheet piling installation, care and control of water. Unique challenges on SJRA projects, regarding the care and control of water, was the inability to impede channel flow. A plan was developed to divert the water around the work areas utilizing steel sheet piling, earthen coffer dams and bypass piping.

As Owner and President of Lecon, Inc. for 34 years, Dan Lloyd managed all operations, from field to financial. His vast knowledge and experience in heavy civil construction allowed for an effective system for delivering a quality product and strong customer service. He emphasized a hands-on approach for each project to provide the client with a sound product performed safely, constructed on time and within budget.

He has teamed with a variety of other firms in joint ventures, design-builds and design bid-build projects.

His open line of communication style and daily involvement in projects facilitated immediate and effective problem identification and resolution so that projects could proceed in an efficient and timely manner.
