Daniel Lamothe

Member of the Special Operations Division team tasked to provides service to our community by identifying and addressing quality of life issues by utilizing persistent enforcement activities and developing long term solutions and to serve as a force multiplier utilized when enforcement requirements fall outside of other division’s capabilities or skillsets.

• Conduct long term investigations targeting high profile offenders utilizing physical and electronic surveillance and cell data analytics
• Plan and conduct fugitive apprehension, search warrant service, emphasis and surveillance operations
• Coordinate between city departments, private landowners and resource providers to develop solutions to issues stemming from homelessness and addiction

Responsible for training, educating and mentoring aspiring lieutenants in military skills, and leadership attributes.

• Sr. TAC Officer (2025-Present)- Synchronize the efforts of 10 TAC officers to ensure uniformity of instruction in line with the OCS curriculum
• Pre-OCS OIC (2022-2025)- Developed and implemented a 6 month OCS prep course resulting in 100% pass rate for Phase I candidates

Patrol Officer responsible for handling calls for service and conducting proactive patrols within the downtown core to improve quality of life.

• Officer-in-Charge (OIC) 2022-2023- assumed supervisory duties in absence of the Sergeant.
• Field Training Officer (FTO)- trained and certified new officers for solo patrol
• Patrol Tactics Instructor- implemented department wide tactics training.
• Awarded the department's Commendation and Life-Saving Medal.

Command of 100 Soldiers and responsible for the creation of long range training plans and the execution of operational missions.

• Conducted joint training with Washington State Patrol, JBLM DES, and local agencies
• Oversaw the planning and execution of Battalion wide Civil Disturbance training
• Commanded Civil Disturbance Task Forces of 150-250 Soldiers during mobilizations in 2020 and 2021.

Synchronize and directed operations of five companies in support the 81st BDE pre-deployment training exercise.

Oversaw all logistical operations, to include supply, transportation and equipment maintenance for the battalion.

Responsible for overseeing operations and coordinating administrative and logistical requirements.

Investigated and settled both Liability and Homeowner insurance claims and managing a case load of 100-130 claims.
