  • Successfully completed training and obtained Property & Casualty Licenses and state registrations in all 50 states (not currently active at this time though).
  • Provided member assistance on current coverage questions in regards to billing, benefits, issues, and also listened to any potential needs for expanded or new coverage options that may be a better fit.

  • Assisted members and providers with benefit coverage details, claims processing explanations, researching errors and correcting as needed.
  • Became a researcher, which was a leader to other call takers when they had questions while on a call that they could not answer on their own, accepted call transfers when a supervisor was requested, and responded to written inquiries.
  • Earned a position within a new team that was formed between the New England Health Plans (NEHP). We were internal representatives from each state, where providers and members could call when a member was seen across state lines and needed help with complicated claims and benefits processing. Many providers were on the borders and would often send in authorizations or claims under the wrong provider numbers, which would cause complicated issues (out of network, balance billing). We trained to identify these and call to confirm what we could and have processed with as little disruption to the members as necessary.
