As the full-time Executive Officer reporting to union members and the International office, I maintain overall responsibility for supervising local union affairs on behalf of five properties and seven collective bargaining agreements representing nearly 1,000 members. As lead negotiator, I have experience ratifying both new and successor agreements, research and preparation of both economic and non-economic proposals for collective bargaining, grievances, and arbitration. I conduct Executive Board presentations, as well as presenting to the Board of Directors and giving media interviews when needed. I work to build relationships within the local and the agencies we represent, and my focus is on creative problem-solving. I sponsored a new Emergency Response Advocate program in 2024, pairing members who have experienced a serious emergency, accident or assault in the field with a union advocate to provide support. My commitment is to promote diversity, equity and inclusion as a core value and central to the work of the local and the many members we represent.
