Check in patients: Greet patients as they step up to the window and sign in and ask if they are new or a current patient. If they are a new patient, I would make a copy of their picture ID and Insurance card and create a new chart for them.
Take vitals: After the patient checks in I would take them to the back and take their blood pressure and pulse rate. This can be done electronically or manually. If they are a new patient I would get their height, weight, blood pressure and pulse rate.
Clean the rooms: After the patient has left I will clear the paper off of the table and replace it with new paper on the roll.
Restock the exam rooms with supplies and prescription pads.
Check out patients: When the patient is done I will collect their copay (if any), write up a lab slip for them if needed and schedule their follow up appointment.
