I graduated from TWU in August 2024 and currently hold Texas state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner – FNP. My recent experience is with a physician-led practice providing primary care in Mesquite, Texas with an average daily patient count of 8.5. During my FNP training, I completed 780 hands-on clinical hours across diverse settings, including family practice, functional medicine, and internal medicine/primary care. These experiences allowed me to develop advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across all age groups, with a focused expertise in managing chronic illnesses and promoting comprehensive, patient-centered care. I have held continuous RN licensure as a BSN since 1993, maintaining qualifications across multiple states and currently holding a Texas compact RN license. Since 2004, I have worked autonomously as a School Nurse in high-acuity, high-student-population settings, leveraging my ability to manage complex healthcare needs in educational environments. Prior to this, I gained extensive clinical experience in diverse hospital settings, including Mother/Baby, NICU step-down, Orthopedics, Urology, Post-Operative Transplant, Medical-Surgical, and Neurology units. As a military spouse, I brought my expertise to the Department of Defense Dependents Schools, serving as a school nurse and adapting to unique community needs. I am also a proud Louisiana Army National Guard Veteran, where I began my service as a Non-Commissioned Officer – NCO and later earned a direct commission as a Medical Officer. This diverse career trajectory reflects my dedication to healthcare, leadership, and service in dynamic and challenging environments.
