As a CLT Lead within PiN’s former Advocacy in Action Committee, I led conversations and contributed feedback on how PiN can create Advocacy tools and deliverables so that these groundbreaking tools could reach people across Oregon state.
I helped to keep my team updated by creating engaging online correspondence, agendas and spreadsheets.
During my time as a CLT, I facilitated conversations about equity and how we can empower the people of color within this project and within our communities. I had created a place within our project where resources would be available for everyone to use and reference. These resources include articles that provide in-depth information of characteristics of white supremacy and how we can work together to support one another in our efforts to dismantle it.
Across the project, I used my lived and learned experience to help better define what would help the project better connect with communities of color!
I also spent some time reviewing and having conversations about contracts from contractors who were interested in giving support to the project and developing advocacy tools as well.
