Identify and correct security risks and safety hazards to provide a secure and safe environment for patients, employees and visitors. Conduct patrols of hospital and grounds, affiliated practices, and departments outside of the hospital and take appropriate actions to help prevent fire, theft, accidents, visitor confusion, disturbances or other undesirable conditions.

Respond to calls for assistance from employees, patients, visitors and physicians and provide appropriate assistance promptly.

Exhibit sound judgment and promote offender/Probation cooperation and compliance with state policy. Provide safety of general public, safety and welfare of offenders/probation and staff, and protection of state property.
