· I am a highly trained SA/DV Victims Advocate who supports victims in all areas i.e. hospital, housing, Child Welfare/DHHS CPS, Mainecare, EBT, Disability, law enforcement, criminal/civil matters, Probate Court. Supporting victims rights for information, resources, assistance with filling out statements, affidavits, civil court documents, accompanying Law Enforcement on scene. Knowledge of Maine State Criminal/Civil Law, Court Procedures.

As a DJM I safeguard Judges, Prosecutors, and general public by conducting Courthouse security. I enforced Maine State Law by anticipating and observing security breaches. I crafted accurate verbal and written reports to the State of Maine Judicial Marshal Service. I verified people’s right to enter restricted areas, denied access to unauthorized persons, processed and logged accurate and detailed incident reports while maintaining logs of all events that occurred during each shift. I prevented crimes by thorough investigation of suspicious and unusual behavior by immediately reporting and/or summonsing unauthorized and illegal activity on the premises. Collected and organized all surveillance data and information to protect Court and employees.

Coordinated treatment and supervision for Drug Court participants in specialized, court-supervised addiction programs. Maintained my budget for Washington County Drug Court. Assessed participants for eligibility, substance abuse counseling monitoring, compliance with treatment and probation, attended and testified in court hearings, submitting reports to the Judge, attorney’s, and therapists. Administered drug testing, searched client's residences for substances and paraphernalia. Connecting clients to resources within their communities i.e. housing, employment, education etc.

Provided free confidential support, crisis intervention, legal system navigation for all individuals affected by crime. Assisted/accompanied LEO with on site support after physical, sexual assaults/emergency room/transportation. Shelter, safety planning, civil PFA/PFH’s, family law, District Attorney meetings, victim compensation etc.
