I have 25+ years in the automotive industry in every aspect of the business, Mostly F&I Director, producer but can run a sales desk and team if needed. Very motivated, Competitive individual that expects a lot of himself and my team. Have worked for large dealer groups with a team of 5-7 F&I producers under me running averages of 1,500-2500 copy per deal, with excellent CSI. I have been a top producer and performer at every store I’ve worked at with references to back this up.
This was a successful venture working with FEDEX, I started with 11 employees and sold it with 35. I owned the trucks, routes (mostly in SW Virginia) etc. I ran it all myself and it just got to be too big to run alone but didn’t want to take on an unknown partner. Sold this business and am ready to get back to what I do best.
Finance Producer, Director at a store selling
350-400 cars a month. We all handled our own deals from start to finish, being a previous Director I was the most efficient on the team. If you were running less than 2,000 a copy and your CIT wasn’t clean you weren’t going
to be working for U.S. (owner) very long. Very tough
job to leave due to the great relationship with the Owner, Operator U.S. Marine. A very solid operator.
Only left this job to start my own business in
Johnson City, TN. Wanted to try something completely different in the Logistics field.
Finance Director at Greenway’s flagship store. Greenway is one of the largest dealer groups in
the Country. I had 5-7 producers under me and I handled the team, deals, CIT, lenders, secondary, CSI, etc. We ran 1,500-2,000 copy, 50%+ warranty penetration. Keep in mind this when buy rates
with good credit under 3%. Reserves weren’t near
as high as they are now with rates much higher.
This was the only non JM&A store I’ve worked at, I did get Roger Charbonneau (JM&A District Mgr.) a meeting with Carl Atkinson (50% owner) but after 3 months of considering, he decided to stick with US Warranty who they’ve been with since inception.
AMSI store, which was sold a few years ago. We maxed out over 500+ cars a month before the Financial crisis decimated our volume as it did everyone. My job was the same as with Greenway, Carl had been trying to get me to work for him for awhile and I accepted after some convincing.
Mostly a producer during this time, but did get deals bought as well. Consistently ran the highest numbers in the group which can be verified by Roger Charbonneau. We had 4 stores, family owned and we had the best team in Orlando.
You weren’t getting a spot here unless you were a stud, with credentials. Very similar to the last store I worked at Sutherlin Nissan, you had to run big numbers, great CSI or you weren’t there very long.
This is where I cut my teeth. Started as a salesman, quickly promoted to floor manager, then Finance Mgr/Director. We sold 70-100 cars a month and I was the only Finance person we had. This is where I met Roger who saw the potential in me and got me in at Bob Dance when this store was sold.
Had a Scholarship to play tennis in College but decided to turn Pro instead Unfortunately I was injured very early in my career, which led me to finding another Competitive field to tackle, The Car Business
