For almost 25 years, since the age of 15, I have worked in some sort of the hospitality industry. From my first job as a cook/kitchen aid, to working over 20 years for Memorial Hospital, to my current job as a Skydiving Coach/Office Assistant, I have developed excellent people skills. I am physically fit and I like physical labor. I pay attention to detail and I am a fast learner. I can take the knowledge that I have learned and teach others. I have exceptional time management skills, as well as being focused and detail-oriented.
As a Skydiving Coach I am one of the first people that our customers come into contact with, in what can be a stressful experience. I greet visitors or callers to handle questions or direct to appropriate staff. I collect payments, issued receipts and updated accounts to reflect new balances. I monitor calendars and scheduled appointments based on availability and established load limits. I communicate with customers, employees and vendors to answer questions and address complaints. I assist in the teaching of safety protocols, proper skydiving tech in both freefall and canopy flight, and continuing education in safe skydiving.
In the 20+ years that I worked at Memorial Hospital my job titles and job duties were vast and ever changing. Monitored expiration dates, rotating stock to limit outdated product and removed outdated items from use. Determined stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory and projected depletion. Safely transported patients throughout the hospital. Kept logs on patient progress. Correctly followed strict regulations in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
