- Individual contributor responsible for supporting Fidelity Investments Top 10 Open systems. These systems exist on IBM AIX, Linux, and Cloud based (Azure/AWS) implementations. Most Production systems are 4-site RAC Clusters.
- Project Manager on non-application, Infrastructure oriented projects which require participation from a variety of technologies such as dasd, networking, database install, build, migrations, Security, monitoring, disaster recovery, Vendor interactions, and more.
- Continue to participate in an On-Call roster for Production support systems. My team supports 477 databases across 205 servers which include the top systems.
- Designed, coded, tested, and implemented solutions such as the FDWDDL utility I built for Fidelity which allows our ETL/Informatica developers to make DDL calls to the database for a variety of purposes such as index, partition, statistics, and many other functions typically reserved for DBA privileges only
- Brought in to migrate over 7200 Oracle datafiles over to Vormetric encrytped file systems. I completed this migration and reduced the datafile count to under 4000. Years later, I would be called upon to move off of Vormetric. This is only 1 example of the larger scale projects I've been trusted to own.
- Repurposed and leveraged our usage of Disk replication to quickly create non-production test environments by using a Production image.

- Developed and implemented a variety of Oracle-based applications (Forms, Reports) used by semiconductor fab engineers in the capture, processing, scrubbing, and reporting on all manner of manufacturing processes and designs.
- Responsible for the installation and upgrade of Oracle products.
- Responsible for Database backups, security, and worked closely with Systems' administrators on these Large Sun Microsystems (Large for the time).
- Provided all facets of Oracle DBA and Application support to support Accounting, Financial, Administrative, and Time Management systems within this Power Industry Engineering & Software Development Corporation. More accurately, I was the sole MIS contact for this Engineering 100+ personnel company.
- I was responsible for Database upgrades/migrations, Database architecture, Security (Roles, Profiles, Grants, etc), managing storage, Backup, and Recovery. Responsible for Creating and maintaining applications using VAX VMS DCL, PL/SQL, Oracle*Forms, SQL*MENU, SQL Report*Writer, "C", and FORTRAN.
- Reported directly to the Finance Director.
- DEC/VAX equipment was used to run VMS where I also managed O/S security through the use Access Control Lists (ACL).
- During this tenure, I made use of Oracle version 5, 6, and 7, respectively.
