I am responsible for facilitating the growth of students’ academic achievement and to ensure they are able to meet regular benchmarks set throughout the year. I helped lead staff to incorporate Emergent Bilingual strategies within their teaching practices, create action plans for instructional improvement, and use the DDI process to investigate gaps in student learning. I am also involved in helping other educators use a variety of integrated technology in the classroom as instructional tools, such as Nearpod and Peardeck. I also make sure to establish a good rapport with administration and students as well as maintain my standards for an effective classroom.

I also helped identify and recruit parents in Title 1 elementary areas and coordinate with community resources to provide support services for the families in the program. In addition, I taught a parenting class that helped prepare students for life outside high school, which includes balancing a budget, resume writing, nutrition, and other areas pertinent for success.
