My responsibilities included monitoring inventory (yearly and monthly cycle counts), requesting quotes on parts, ordering parts requested by the engineers or if inventory falls below minimum, and I received parts shipped to the facility into inventory. Additionally, I prepared large crates and pallets of machinery to be shipped for repair or refurbishing, and I checked out or delivered parts to the engineers and techs who requested them. I also receive chemical and gas drums, totes, and tanks into the system and deliver them to their correct storage locations, order chemicals and gas, and prepared empty containers to ship back to the chemical company for refill. Finally, I am HAZMAT and forklift certified.
