David Lopez Rivas

I joined the Academy charters team in my sophomore year, the team was full of talent but I worked hard and eventually earned my spot as a starter, Junior year I was injured most of the season but stayed consistent and kept working. Senior year I really got the chance to shine and prove that my hardwork pay off, I lead the team from the beginning to the end.

I struggle in academics my freshman and sophomore year since I had moved froma a different town it was all new and different so it really played a huge effect in my mentality. Futbol helped me get back in my foot and have the mentality to do the work and assignments because a dream grew in me to play college soccer. Senior and Junior year I demonstrated my academic capabilities and have earned my self an achievement cord that is given to student that have major growth in the GPA.

Team Leadership

• Captained a high school soccer team that lacked upperclassmen to help and lead.
• Conducted team meetings and developed game strategies, improving overall team performance .
• Trained and mentored new team members, resulting in improvement in skill levels and team cohesion as well as team bonding.

My qualities

• I am a person who loves to grow and keep learning from others because I believe that there is always room for growth
• My mentality is what defines me, I am a strong person in whose loses don't define, but I take them as a lesson to keep craving for more.
• I love giving feedback to those that needed to make them be better or just help in general.
