My name is Dr. Demetrie Sezibera, and I am a healthcare leader who is driven by opportunities to work on and build high-performing teams while taking the time to serve others. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 10 years where service and team building have become a part of me. That, however, is not where my service ends. I believe that my job experience has led me to want to do more and give back to those within our communities. While working with various healthcare entities, I have learned a great deal about the lack of access to routine healthcare, mental healthcare, and basic resources that should be afforded to all people. Because of this knowledge, I became an advocate for several community service organizations to help those who do not have access to the things needed to sustain. Through my volunteer efforts, I have secured funds and resources to support families in gaining access to financial literacy, flood relief, toiletries, and family counseling.
