• Enhanced patient satisfaction through compassionate communication and timely response to needs.
• Increased time spent on direct patient care tasks by delegating non-nursing duties appropriately.
• Supported effective patient care transitions by thoroughly reviewing and updating handoff reports during shift changes.
As a clinical nurse educator, I was responsible for creating education for registered nurses to help improve their competencies and proficiencies in their jobs so that they would be able to enhance their skills to magnify interventions to improve patient's outcomes. I also communicated as a liaison with colleges and universities to provide opportunities for clinical hours for students to get "hands-on" experience in the ER with patients. I also created CE's for nurses to get their hours to help them when they needed to renew their licenses. I also did research to keep up with new and innovative scholarships and technologies to provide evidence-based practices to stay with the most current treatments for our patients.
• Evaluated clinical staff performance, identifying areas of improvement and providing constructive feedback to drive continuous growth.
• Utilized adult learning principles to adapt teaching methods according to individual learner needs, maximizing comprehension and retention of material presented.
• Led the development of annual training plans based on identified gaps in knowledge or skills among clinical staff members.
As a home health care nurse, I was responsible for admitting patients when they were discharged from the hospital. As RN's, we assess the patient and their home environment to see if they are able to to recover at their home, what type of services they will need to help them recover, and how much time will be needed for their recovery per doctor's orders and per insurance stipulations.
